Any dog carrier saddlebags?

This is weird…but I went riding today with my ‘children’ for Mother’s Day. I have 2 small dogs. They can’t keep up, so they ride in my saddlebags with their heads and front legs out the top. Works pretty good…http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg103/blackbunnymomma/mommalgandratdog2-1.jpg

But if I let the young one on the ground, the weight of the remaining old one will pull on the saddle, causing the saddle to sit crooked.

I’d like something that will attach to the horn and balance across the front of me…or attach to the cantle and ‘balance’ on the back. Like a buddy seat for kids.

It cannot ‘contain or trap’ the dog…in case something goes wrong. The dogs are well trained to ride with me. They know to stay still…yet will jump and leave if I tell them too.

So, any ideas of how to MAKE one…or where to buy one?

And yes…I know tenny shoes are a no no…but I do it anyways.
Good idea Buckin…would have to ‘solid’ it up maybe…don’t want it sagging or collapsing. hmmm…maybe with foam pieces?

AMERICAN!! HI!! Hair is actually longer…it’s up in a barrette before it goes through the hole of the cap! Let me know ANY ideas for a carrier of some sort.
I KNOW!! I COULD INVENT ONE!! THEN I’D BE RICH! *laughing*
I’m afraid of anything attached to ME. If I was to come off…I wouldn’t want my dog crushed by me. The ‘backpack’ type are a wonderful idea…but I don’t think it’s real wise when you are riding an animal with a mind of it’s own. I couldn’t guarantee that I wouldn’t come off…and crush them if they were ‘attached’ to me.

It’s hard to tell from the photo…but those ARE square, flat bottomed saddle bags!! The weight of the dog…collapses them to a u-shape.

I’ve been looking online, but reading reviews, they all have some drawback. Like they have no support, or they don’t stay zipped, or they don’t fit under an airplane seat blah blah blah. It’s for my little chihuahua who won’t get past 6 lbs. Has anybody has had any luck with a certain brand? Thanks people. =)
Ok Whoaa. When did I ever call my dog an accessory? Like I’m gonna carry around a CRATE? Um, no. I need a small flexible carrier.
I’m not paris Hilton looking for a designer handbag for my dog. I just want a carrier, who cares what it looks like? I’m looking for function not style.
Thankyou to those who actually helped. :) The airplane suitability isn’t a main feature I need, but it would be nice, as I do plan on travelling with her.
Yeah, I basically just want an everyday baggish thing so I can take her with me doing errands and stuff. Her little legs aren’t gonna go all day, so I need to carry her.

looking for a small dog carrier?

i am looking for a small cute dog carrier for my chihuahua that is going to be about 3.5 lbs when full grown. i want one that is comfortable for her and gives her some space so she’s not crammed when she is out and about with me. if you know anywhere that has some for under that would be great! thanks!

annd, yes i know she has legs and can walk. she is very tiny and i get worried when she around people in public and on the ground, especially with her size and curiosity. she gets plenty of time to walk around and take walks.

thanks for your help!
