Question by bubbalucie: Fleas…..not my puppy(part2)?
ok so I gave my friends puppy a bath with dishwasing liquid like a couple of people suggested.(im puppysitting for her and the puppy hd fleas all over even after I asked her if the dog had fleas and she told me no)My maltese/yorkie has never had fleas and thats how I would like to keep her.Whta should I do with the puppy now.She is in the pet carrier and she keeps crying and whining.She doesnt want to walk around though she wants to come up on the bed and sleep with my puppy and im sorry but i am not having that.I take my puppy to the groomers all the time and they always tell me how well kept she is.I dont want to bring her back with fleas all over her.Please what should i do.She is crying and wont stop but i dont want to take her out and then have fleas evrywhere.Ive been keeping my puppy from her.(and she also seems quite vicious.We went to pet her and she snapped at us.This was before we put her in the pet carrier)UGHHHH….FRUSTRATED
I def understand Anxiously Awaiting but she should have never given me her flea infested pup.The crate is huge and was meant for my aunts rotti when she came to visit and needed a crate for him so its huge.Shes running around in it and is playing.As for reimbursement my friend is out of town on a job interview so getting money back probably wont happen.

go to the pet store and plunk $ 40 down for a flea drop remedy. it works within 8 hours and that poor puppy is just miserable as can be right now, not to mention the possibility of getting sick from the bites. She isn’t vicious, she’s in pain and suffering/

Act now, don’t buy the cheap stuff, it doesn’t work.

Also, fleas may lie dormant for long periods of time, months even, waiting for a host to come along. And then they jump the host again so if you are in contact with a flea dog, the fleas will be on your clothes and make a home in yours if you let them.

unfortunately for you, as you didn’t sign up for all this, you must bomb the house at least twice in a row, while you and the puppy are out (the day after you put the flea drops on the puppy). fleas expel live eggs when they die and so bombing once isn’t enough, you must bomb the eggs as they are hatching (about ten hours after they are expelled). flea larva will not release eggs so get them right away.

And charge your friend a bundle for all of this work they left you with.

Question by grace: Need helping finding dog carrier?
I am going on a trip and will be flying US Airways. I am taking my yorkie with me and the airline in very strict on dimensions on the pet carrier for express flights. Does anyone know where I can find a pet carrier that is 8″ in height, 17″ in width and 15″ long? The dimensions can’t be more than this.

go to petco or another pet store. if u cant find anything there try to order it off the internet. u can def find one there

Question by l: Other than Petsmart/petco, where can a cardboard pet carrier for cats be purchased?

just about any pet store, some veterinary clinics and just about any online pet store on the net. Shelter will give these away when you adopt a pet (not all, but some will have these in stock).
