Question by : How can I get my cats more comfortable with a cat carrier/pet taxi?
I’m taking my kittens to be Spayed at the beginning of December and they are terrified of the cat carrier. They are complete basket cases when they are put into one. What can I do to make them more comfortable?

Don’t force them to go in it. Leave it on the floor for them to explore when they want. You can also try tossing some toys or treats in there to encourage them to check it out, or you can even feed them in the carrier (with the door still open, not forcing them to go in).

Question by kennedy: Did I pack enough for my car trip/week vacation with my puppy?
I have an almost 12 week old maltese puppy. She’s very tiny. In about 2 weeks we will be traveling by car to a cottage. This is what I am planning to bring (is it enough/too much? What else should I bring?)

-my dog lol
-her bed, and the blankie i put under her bed
-food/drink bowls
-food mat (so food doesn’t spill everywhere)
-her collar and tag (it’s always on her anyway)
-leash
-brush
-nail clippers
-2 toys (some stringy soft thing and a bouncy ball)
-her carrier
-can of wellness puppy wet food
-bag of wellness puppy dry food
-bag of wellness puppy treats
-this stain spray thing (in case she does her business on the carpet or floor)
-her litter (she’s still training)
-liter of our own water so she doesn’t drink the water there or lake water.

Make sure you bring her vaccination records. If anything happens to her and you need to see a vet they will want to know what vaccinations she has had already.

Shampoo since your previous question mentioned swimming in a lake.

Litter? I am pretty sure you don’t need that at home either. Start teaching her right away to go outside instead of in litter.
